T-Bowl Concept Restaurant @ Sungai Wang Plaza

11/07/2010

I was having a date with my boyfriend and my brother suggusted me to take a visit to T-Bowl Concept.We spent quite some times to look for it since my brother told me it was at Time Square(gave us the wrong information).

It was located at Sungai Wang Plaza 3rd Floor.
Here is the map to this specific location.

Welcome T-Bowl.

The T-Bowl (Toilet Bowl) Restaurant was established on 18th Feb 2008 at 3rd floor of QueensBay Mall. The restaurant was originated by the founder, Samuel while he was sitting on a toilet bowl one day. All of a sudden he has an idea of eating while sitting in the toilet bowl just as in the movie directed by Anthony Wong a few years ago. Furthermore, he would like to open a special concept restaurant in Penang, hence inspired him to fuse this concept into the food and beverage industries. This restaurant has designed base on the bathroom concept; where the toilet bowl used as seat, basin as dining table, mini toilet bowls as food bowl. Beside that, this restaurant has 3 cute and meaningful main theme characters call the Tbros (Toilet Brothers) such as the toilet bowl, stool and shower. There are varieties of food here range from Japan, Korean, Western, Hong Kong till oriental style. The restaurant directors plan to franchise their business to Kuala Lumpur and other states in Malaysia in the near future.

T-Bowl restaurant has a funky theme based on toilet concept.That made me laugh because of its funny decorations.Waitress have a red bathrobe top as their uniforms whereas Waiters have a blue one.Lightnings are dim in this particular restaurant but still it's catchy.They served seatings in both indoor and outdoors. For those who just want to enjoy food and a little sightseeing on their cutleries, you are recommanded to take a seating outdoors on the mall's centre space.Outdoor is definately brighter than indoors,but their design would not be as good as indoor's.

Outdoor's

"Outdoor's design is relaxing and comfortable enough. It's design is similar to normal houses bathrooms and toilets. Not to mention about their toilet bowl seating."

"This is one of the seating tables where customers are serve. Indoor's and outdoor's seating have not much difference, except the part where the table is a half spere sink for outdoor and square sink for the indoor.Chairs remain unchange."
==============================================================
Indoor's
-"Toilet bowl ish nice, i liek it"-"That's what I am thinking when i see a toilet bowl seating for girls next to the cashier. I missed out a part for the guy's bowls,which is at the left side of the entrance. Background is blue tiled with bowls."
*attention that, none of these items or toilet's furnish are usable. Decorating purpose only*
"Modeling doll is taking a bath in a cushion-filled bathtub. Guys thought it would be great if the doll is -ehem- undress,eventually it's just a joke*giggles*"
"Tables seating are divided by funky-pictures-printed-dividers . Doll was hanging on it. Amused me...A LOT. The tables here are medium sized bathtub, which can fit a primary school kid. I did not get a chance to take any photos due to one reason - customers are filling the in the seatings non-stop."
"The other side of the restaurant have a japanese-styled seating,sits with folded laps. Tables are divide using curtains. Design is based on showering room.*points at the shower head shining above the table*"
"Floor boards have built-in-squating toilet bowls with glass covered over it."
"This is the seating for most of the seats .Comes in different colours and design"
"Red lights,quite dim actually for a indoor restaurant,but still consider ok"
========================================================
Let's move to the food part.The menu suits the theme of the restaurant well, as you can see it's menu comes with a toothbrush cute and catchy. One star for this idea.Not to mention it's contents inside,pretty amusing.
"Anyone wants a try of shit-shaped-ice cream of dessert?"
I don't really remember how long did it take to complete the order, because I am busy snapping pictures around the restaurant.The service is not bad, quite a good one compare to all the restaurant I attempted before.

The restaurant design was a good attempted theme.So far this is the only toilet theme restaurant i know in Malaysia.Their service was fast and good. Food are served in 15-20 minutes time.Tables were kept clean once customers gone.Price are quite affordable,around the same range with Kim Gary.
